#Suryanelli is a resort settlement in the Chinnakanal village in Idukki district.Kerala, India.[1] Situated 40 km South East of the popular tourist location of Munnar. It is surrounded by tea plantations and many resorts.

Suryanelli is a name derived from two Tamil words " Suriyan and Illai", which translates to No Sun. Long before the human settlements formed this placed used to be on the way to Sabarimala and it was a densely forested area.
